The central part of the route is currently (Aug 2008) suffering from road works which affects two parts of the route. The A40 bridge over the canal is having quite a lot of work on it. When you first join the A40, there is a sign saying the footpath is closed. It is, but not until you are past where you need to get off. Suggest you stay on the north side of the A40 to avoid having to cross the road twice - potentially unnecessarily. When you come down the steps to first join the canal, the same works force you onto the far (east) side of the canal for a couple of hundred metres. You can easily get back on route (west side of canal) at the first bridge. Note that the path you've just run along is the return path back from Wolvercote.

What a nice run with plenty of interest all the way round. Made a slight mistake at the end where the instruction should be 'turn left at roundabout into Cassington road and then soon cross over' etc. I should have zoomed in on the map and looked closer!
