OVERVIEW

This fairly small park of 46 hectares (115 acres) has a large tarmac road around its perimeter and numerous other good paths and open grass areas. The grade II listed Park was officially opened in 1869 and recently benefited from a £5million Heritage Lottery Funded restoration and improvement programme. A 5k Parkrun is held here Saturdays 9am. There is a track, gym and changing rooms which are all chargeable. There is also an outdoor gym.
