OVERVIEW

A fascinating and varied 164 hectare (390 acre) Country Park centred on an Iron Age hill fort, which is managed by South Somerset District Council. There are plenty of footpaths to explore and some gravel paths with impressive views from the top. Be warned, though, that the quarry area is exposed and so can be quite windy. There are more sheltered bridleways and footpaths through the lower woodlands. To find the park, follow signs from Stoke Sub Hamdon. There is also a pub near to the free park which has impressive views.
