Delighted that my Garmin data is now uploading automatically and recognising my favourite running routes and races.  Makes a big difference to the way I follow my progress.  Thanks!

When i access a run via the log book and then the graph icon the Splits Analyser does not show the Hill profile I do have the hill profile button ticked in the splits analyser and when i click on the date and go to the next page the bottom graph also does not show the hill profile but if i click for a larger hill profile it will bring it up. is there a box im missing to get this or is there a tweak you can/need to do?

Hi, another observation I've had using the automatic upload. I went out for a bike ride on Saturday, but it'uploaded to my log book as a run - I did have my watch set to bike profile, not run, and it uploaded as a bike ride on the garmin site. Another slightly unrelated question is, I bought a new pair of trainers recently. I've added them to my shoe tracker with the date I bought them, but on trying to go back and edit the details for some runs (as I've not have much chance to do this recently) it won't let me select those trainers for run I did in them - it's only showing up pre-existing trainers shoes. Is this because although I had bought the shoes at this point it took a couple of days before I had chance to log on and add them to my shoe tracker but my runs had automatically uploaded in the meantime? Any chance of changing this?

thanks

Hi John, thanks for your reply.  By notes on the route I mean the details I save about it, so often I'll save a written description of where the route goes (road names etc) so I can see these easily at a glance rather than having to look at the map route of the run. Does that make any more sense?

Hi, I have just seen the first full week of data being uploaded from Garmin Connect. I am disappointed that the sync imported my cycling as running, and didn't keep the title of the workout I had done. It also doesn't reflect that I later removed a workout. Perhaps I am asking too much but although I knew it wouldn't synchronise back and forth and for historical sessions, I thought it would bring in the data in a closer format to how it would if I imported a session one by one manually. It also ignored my note about the session.

Hi Janice,

If it's a new route it just saves it with that days date.  So the run i did today I hadn't done before, adn hadnt saved the route before I went out so when it uploaded it just saved it as the date, and then I amended the name when i got back.

Hope that helps!

Really like the new system - saves a lot of time.

Couple of points - one, leading from Vicky's - is there a way that, if the route not one I've done before, and not the automatic route suggested from the history, can the new route be loaded instead?  It sounds from your answer to Vicky that the only alternative is to use a route that is already on the system if a the route match is incorrect.   Secondly, when sharing the routes, is there a section for parkruns ?  For example, I've just uploaded the new Bushy parkrun "butterfly" route (think it has come up as a bronze route).  I'm sure that this has come up before in the forum, but apologies that I can't remember what the outcome was.
