Thanks Kate

I think it's at the Charlton Sports centre on the north side of the town. There is a lake there so my guess is we will be running round it two or three times.

See you there.....

Double kerching....probably see you at Brueton Dave, dunno yet whether I'll be racing or vounteering as I have an 18 miler LSR planned for that weekend. I'll be racing at CHp on the 27th Aug as my schedule says 'find a 10k race' so I'll go round 4 times then.

Wouldn't worry about your speed Claire there's everyone from the racing snakes to walkers that take part, there is no age limit and we have parents and toddlers, kids under 10 years of age and big kids over 70 years old.

Have a go, all you need is to join up free and print off your barcode that you present to the admin team after you have run the race, all you need to do on the day is join the group at the start and off you go.

I agree with Derek (of course!) you needn't worry about being slow. Parkruns (only a capital becasue I've started a sentence you pinickity types) cater for all standards especially beginners so just get your barcode and go along and join in. Then tell us about it, please.

Hi Clare,
Coincidentally. I was listening only last night to the 'Marathon Talk' podcast from 6th April (I'm catching up on some I missed), in which Tom Williams talks about Huddersfield parkrun. Among many other things running, Tom helps to set up parkruns all over the north of England, and also started the Hyde Park Harriers club in Leeds. I've also just sneaked a peek at last weeks results, and they had 106 finishers ranging from 16:54 to 41:00.
Have a listen to Tom, and get yourself down to Greenhead Park - you'll love it!

Feargals corner is an official part of CHp, just at the time when the steady gentle ascent to the finishing line starts to bite.
