Just had one other thought. When renaming a route, would it be possible to also upload the details of the route to be saved at the same time. Also I've noticed that if you go into the edit a route, once you've renamed it, it takes you back to your log back as opposed to the run details to be able to edit the rest of it e.g. shoes worn, add notes etc. Meaning you have to go back into to edit the rest of the run details. Cheers |

I think this new update is great, is really handy not to have to upload everything separately and for it it to just appear. Just one question, I see you can rename a route on the log book page which I've done. Is there an option to be able to choose a different route is say the route it has automatically matched with isn't the one you've done? I've not had this trouble with the auto upload yet (I've only been using is this week), but I know in the past when i've uploaded runs, it hasn't always selected the right one from my saved routes, which hasn't been a problem because I've been able to manually select the right route instead. I think it's because I have some routes which are quite similar in terms of distance and where they go, so if garmin is being funny some days the distance can come up a little different. just wondered if it will be possible to still change the route if and when I encounter this in the future? Thanks, Vicky |

Thanks John for clarifying, I thank you have answered my question in the other answers as I tend to use the same route say an athlete's track to do various schedules but name it as a different route, which in practice it isn't. |

Hi John With regards to the auto selecting of a route previously run i ran a race yesterday that i also ran in 2012 and it did not automatically select the correct route. there was a very small difference of 0.06miles. i have changed it manually to the correct one now. the route i did was not saved in the 1st folder of my routes so i dont know if that makes a difference or not. I've been using and trying to abuse it now for a couple of weeks now and it's quite hard to fault it as it does everything it should do and Caters for the vast majority of what was once quite a lot of manual resource in getting the activities into GRG. Well done guys. However I have just one observation at this time, and it may be peculiar to how I tend to record some of my activities. That is if I say run round our lakes fives times on a timed run, and next time do the same laps either less or more then it tends to pick up the nearest route that matches the lake laps. I then have to delete the whole downloaded Auto route and manually replace it. So, thinking on maybe some enhancements is maybe a rename route option in the edit page as now you are not able to edit the auto selected route that will save that activity under a new name, or an option to save it under an existing name. Secondly the Auto route saves it by default Inn the current route listings of new, can there be an option to save it to one of the other listings.

This is great, I've not had any problems with the information going directly from my Garmin Forerunner 10 to Garmin connect and it appears by magic on GRG. Well done. |
