This is a nice route, but it is misnamed. The mapped route passes north of the Black Cuillin: the Red Cuillin are SSE of Sligachan. Glamaig is one of the main peaks of the Red Hills and is a nice run. If the ascent direct from Sligachan seems too daunting, a nice round can be done starting from nr Sconser and finishing at Sligachan.

Thanks Andrew for pointing that out, my mistake, and now renamed. The route you suggest up or around the Red Cullin sounds great. It''s now on my to do list unless someone gets there first...
