I have entered this half marathin in London in October.  I have ran halfs before but never large ones and this one looks really good, has anyone out there ran it and was it as good as I am hoping it will be

I ran it last year. good for a PB as flat, but the route became a bit tedious in the 2nd half as you back and forth through the parks. Good atmosphere generally though. I stayed at grovsner house hotel as they had aspecial offer on. Good location as within walking distance of start.

I ran it last year as my company receives free corporate places, and I'll most likely do it again this year as a result.

Good points are that it's a lovely route, great atmosphere, very flat, and I got a PB. :-)

Not-so-good are that I thought the organisation was very poor indeed. Because of the "festival" atmosphere they try to create, for me it just looked like a sea of stalls and people, not signposted at all, and not a steward in sight. Runners are supposedly given a colour on their bib to assign them to a starting line - mine didn't have one. The queue for the toilets was far bigger than at any race I've seen, including London Marathon.

Overall I would recommend it, but I would probably feel differently if I hadn't got a PB and if I didn't get in for free...
