Hi all! New to running and this site. About to do my first 10k run for charity Birmingham Childrens Hospital Heart Appeal (a dept. which did my sons life saving surgery last year) Just wondered if asking for sponsors on here is allowed/politically correct? God Bless Adrian |

Hi Martin thanks for your support, and kind offer of sponsorship! I am running my first 10 k race this Sunday 26th Sept. It is the Walsall Rotary Club 10k. I am doing it on behalf of Birmingham Children's Hospital Heart Appeal. They did surgery on my son Dominic last Oct. The charity event reference number is GEN02356. Cheques should be made payable to BCH Charities. My postal address is Adrian Perks, 21 Suffolk Grove, Aldridge, Walsall, WS9 8RG. Many thanks God Bless Adrian

Hi Adrian
I have just done the Berlin Marathon for charity, and wish I had thought of having a go on here. I totaly agree with with Martin, you need to set up a Just giving account, that way all you need to do is post a hyperlink, which you can also post on Facebook, Twitter andsend to all you email contacts. I raised nearly £600 on Line, so it is for winners. Also it means there is no requirment to post you address on open forum. Any way good luck with the fundraising.

Well, as we're all in a giving mood... ;o) I'm taking part in the Movember 5K run in Battersea park on 21st November - even have permission from Mrs J to grow a mo! If anyone would like to sponsor me and help raise funds for those with prostate cancer, please go to my Movember page: http://uk.movember.com/mospace/582062/ Cheers! Ian
