I am sure there is wealth of information available in relation to this but can anybody point me in the right direction of some simple but good solid advice in relation to nutrition/diet as I begin to pull together a training plan for my first marathon. Cheers |

In addition to Mark's sound advice, I'd just add that if at all possible, eat as much natural food as possible and avoid all the processed stuff. Frest fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, nuts, berries... the type of thing our ancestors would have eaten thousands of years ago. If you couldn't find it and eat it armed with nothing but a stick, avoid it! Think of your body as a machine, and try to put the best fuel in it! ;-) |
