Also any information / useful tips on the expo and picking up bib number etc. Finally how much typically does the Doctors medical form useually cost? Cheers. Peter. |

Well done. Paris is a nice marathon. I ran it back in 2008 and loved it......mostly (was tripped at a water station at mile 19 and ran the last 7 miles with blood pouring out of my knee!). Tips: 1) Docs note should be free 2) If wet be careful as many streets are cobbled. 3) Make sure you take in the sights- you pass virtually all of te main sights in Paris (unlike London where you take a crappy route through the east end for large stretches!) 4) Get your name put on your number (actually, if i remember correctly its supplied with your name on your race number. Either way the crowd are great and really lift your sprits- especially when calling your name! 5) If you are aiming for a good time hold something back for the last mile or so. The route takes you through a park area and then onto the finishing straight......this bit seemed to go on forever 6) Just enjoy a great run and atmosphere! Ash |
