Hi Andy, have you done any work with the mapping tool? As earlier this week the layer selection has changed on my computer and I don't know whether it's me or you.

I was able to turn on and off the road name detail layer from the photo map as sometimes this gets in the way when I want to map my route, and now all I have is three layer selections, one of which is a new one called cycle.

Also on a different subject are you able to make the pace calculation permanently visible when entering a run as currently it only appears when you enter the time for the run then disappears never to return.

Thanks

Derek

Hi John, I forgot you do the techie stuff, Thanks for the map thing.

With regards to the pace calculator, when I enter a new log and get to the time section I put the time in and to the right of the input boxes text appears informing me of the pace in miles per minute, very similar to the text where the mileage is giving the actual miles allowing for hills, both are calculation non editable text.

The hill information stays visible but once moving away from the input boxes for the time this calculation disappears never to be seen again. I'm sure its still there and maybe one of the format attributes need looking at for that field as I do the same thing with my access databases.

Liking the Cycle maps - as you say useful for locating paths, particularly where they are hidden by trees in the satellite view. It even shows where I live!

Not sure I understand Derek's problem with the pace calc - it shows in the completed log book entry. I can't see any need for it when making an entry, unless you want to 'adjust' your performance to reflect a particular pace!

It's ok John, the best way I can illustrate it is that when you enter a new log then alongside the time entered the pace calculation comes up in red, this field disappears when completing the other fields such as calories, shoes, etc.

Once saved, if you go back to the record under edit that field has disappeared, and if you try to edit the time it does not reappear.

Dave, I forgot about the pace being displayed on the summary sheet so really at the end of the day it isn't a big deal as it is there anyway, but I think, and stand to be corrected the summary displays the acumulated total so if you do multi runs it does not split out the different paces, unless a pop up box tells you that, but it's difficult to write this and carry out that check at the same time.

Oooh, can't comment on that, Derek - I haven't graduated to multi-part runs yet!
