Hi all, I am marathon training and have managed to do somthing odd to my right calf. It started to feel tight about 13 miles into a training run and (cleverly.....) i decided to run on it gently for another mile or so to try and clear it thinking it might just be a bit of cramp. Anyway, it got worse so i stopped and walked the last few miles home. Weidly it doesnt actually hurt at all now but it did swell up quite a bit. I did the whole RICE thing for the first 24 hours and although i havent run on it since if i massage the area it is a little sore and it feels like there is some scar tissue there......I need to get back into training as the big race is in less than a month. Any suggestions for recuperation?? |
