Hi all, Now I'm getting within a couple of months of my first 10k I thought it would be best to get a check up by a sports specialist clinic and truefully it was the best £50 I had spent. I booked for a consultancy and was in there for a good 90 mins, the specialist measured and checked my gait, confirmed I was using the right shoes, checked for movement all of my joints from the hips down, a partial biomechanical check up and even carried out a deep sports massage on my calf which was a little tight from the morning run. He advised me that I had short calfs and hamstrings which he said was not unusual for a distance runner and gave me specific stretching exercises to elongate them. They do a full biomechanical analysis with the running machine at another of their surgeries in Solihull but he carried out everything I needed to know to carry on with my running. These are the people which local to me. http://www.atlaspainrelief.co.uk/ P.S. Even better I can claim the £50 back through my employer :-)
