I have been running for around 8 months, only low level stuff but still wearing general sport trainers - fairly new pair of cricket shoes to be precise. I am about to take the plunge to "proper" footwear after sustaining a nagging extensor tendonitis in my right foot and "gentle" encouragement from runner friends. I appreciate that we all have different requirements but wondered if there was a general consensus as to the best shoe for mostly road running. According to the wet foot print test I seem to be a mild overpronator but will get down to my local shop for a proper gait analysis I think. Thanks in advance for any advice you may be able to offer. does anyone know where I can buy women's La Sportiva wildcats around Inverness or online? Have tried searching online but can only find wildcat 2s. |

Went to running shop today. Very helpful and performed gait analysis which revealed that I actually have a neutral gait with no overpronation - very interesting watching the video analysis. Tried several pairs of neutral shoes and ended up with Brooks Defyance which feel great. Already been out for a nice little run this afternoon! |
