I know this can be a bit of a personal choice but here goes, I am now considering replacement of my Reebok Premier Road Plus shoes after 400 miles which have served me well. I also have a set of Reebok Verona's that I have used for the winter due to the slightly deeper tread and a pair of Nike Lunarglides for racing and speedwork. As I have a 10k in two months time which for the first time is multi terrain I am looking for a multi purpose trainer that caters for my stability gait but is also suitable for both road and trail. I have visited all of the usual websites i.e shoeguide, etc and it seems that the choices can be confusing and sometimes conflicting. So the question really is should I really be concerned with the difference in the road/trail combination, and if I go for trail only footwear what would be the impact when I run on the road parts of the race? And of course any brand recommendations that I can consider. I want to be able to enjoy a multi terrain race without the worry of injury through incorrect footwear. Derek |
