I have just entered my first ultra, 55 miles from Glasgow to Edinburgh. I have run marathons, although not for many years, but I am not concerned about the distance too much. I would like to think I can complete it in about 8 hours

& I would liketo run the whole way; the course is flat. I plan to run up to about 35 miles as longest training run & have 4 months until race, with my longest run currently 15.5m in 2hrs 7. Is it realistic to think I can run the whole route, or should I adopt a different strategy?
