OMG Martin !!!! black toes ..... was it Ranulph Fiennes who had his amputated after his went that colour? Still think positive... it might correct your pronation when running, and in my opinion toes are overrated anyway :-)

I'm sure a few peap's here have had similar, fortunately not me.

Anyway back to the Podiatrist, it's surprising that they can dig out with that little rake of theirs, Sue (the Podiatrist) got right in the nail crevices and what I thought was clean she found detritius (I am posting after 9pm watershed). Afterwards I ran round the track like I had Hermes winged sandals on even though they looked more like Nike Lunarglides.

Sounds wonderful! Our poor little runners feet can get sadly neglected sometimes and deserve a treat after all those miles of pounding! Reflexology and thai foot massages are wonderful too if you get chance to try those! I'm booked in for a hot stone massage on Monday, a treat after the Eccup 10 mile race on Sunday!

As I have the week off I thought I would use up my discount voucher at the local Podiatrist. It's the first time I have ever been to one of these, probably as us blokes think it's a bit girly to have work done to our extremities.

As a first experience I found it really good to firstly have my toenails trimmed up properly, the gungy bits dug out and hard skin filled, finishing off with a cream applied massage. My feet felt really good afterwards and it was pleasing to know from the Podiatrist that they are in pretty good condition so much so that I booked a repeat performance in 2 months time.

I don't think I could go for the health farm stuff yet, but it's a step in the right direction.
