This is what I do after a run. Reduces next day soreness a lot... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNxClAlcaNg

Thanks Derek - I've been looking for something like this! So much better than other sites I've looked at - the fact that it highlights which muscle you are trying to stretch is really helpful, and the animation adds to the understanding of how to perform it.

Looks like a good website to me, Derek. I teach yoga and noticed many of the stretches are similar to standard yoga postures. I like the anatomical explanations too. I tend to do a more dynamic loosening up exercises before a run (ankle, knee, hip rotations etc taken from the Chi running book) and then I have a standard 30 minutes yoga routine that I do after each run which works wonders for reenergising the legs! |

Having a bit of time on my hands I thought I would do some surfing to find out more about stretching exercises and I have come across what I consider is a particularly informative one. http://www.abc-of-fitness.com/stretching-exercise/stretch-sequences.asp I would probably ignore some of the times as my stretches are 30 seconds each, but the good thing about this site is the animation and detail on the muscle groups. Anyone else come across this site, what do you think?
