I was brought up on Fanny and Johnny Craddock ... Graham Kerr and his quick slurps was a bit too avant garde for me!  Mind you, Jamie nearly tempted me back to TV chef-watching, when he started a programme with a bacon sandwich.  Nice bacon doorstep = carbo loading in my mind, and the ketchup gives you one of your five a day.

Thanks both,

I could see a definate marketing opportunity for someone who can put together a recipe and daily menu book here, with or without Guava, avacado or Humus my three least favourite foods.

Also I lurve watching Nigella bites etc, much better than Graham Kerr, the galloping gormet !!!!! [waiting to see who responds to the GK reference]

Hi Derek,

Agree with Nigella that there's a dearth of recipe books for runners - and bookshops  always seem stuffed to the gills with recipe books!

Checked on Amazon - Go Faster Food by Kate Percy seems to have some fairly good reviews on Amazon - but I've not used it myself.

All the best,

Jan

Hi all,

I've been searching the Interweb thingy for a good recipe book specifically for runners, there are loads of nutrition type books that say things like 60% carbs, 20% protein, blah, blah, but all I want is to knock up a meal with the minimum of fuss (I can do weights and measures and mix ingredients, etc) and also tailor it to the type of races I want to run.

Any ideas?
