Thanks for that Mark, have been and bought a pair of salomon 4D boots, apparently they are suitable for both hiking and running, as the chassis of the boot is a little more flexible than normal boots, whilst maitaining good support too. I'm trying them out on sunday, when i go to pen y ghent to have a good walk/jog over and back. |

I will be taking part in the yorkshire 3 peaks in April, and would like a little advice on the most suitable footwear for the challenge. Although I won't be running the whole course, I am hoping to run as much as possible, terrain permitting. I am fully aware that trainers will not be suitable, and that they are not allowed as part of your kit, but can anyone with any experience of the route advise me on a type of shoe/boot, that will be comfortable enough to endure this day. |
