Decided to enter 1st half marathon which is the st.albans in june,albeit the WALKING challenge,fitness has come a long way since i started on trying to change from a totally unhealthy individual,to a non smoking,walk/jog/run fanatic.still struggle to run past 1 mile,but clocked up nearly 200 miles since boxing day !.Have managed to complete 4 half marathon distances,along the river lea towpath, best time 3.20min.Must ADMIT i never thought i would enjoy running,but getting quite a buzz out of it. :)- .Hope to be to run the full 30 mins by the end of june,been trying to stick to the run walk programme,but get carried away and dont stick to the listed schedule.Determined to get there eventually!,Thought i would have dropped more weight,but hey,enjoying my food more now (only healthy stuff),in a years time maybe hit my target of 13st.looked at other running sites,but reckon this is the best by far,thanks GRG. |
