Liking the new auto route recogniser, had went for a run last night and it picked up the right one straight away, really good feature

I am having a problem with the Garmin Auto route recognising tool. i have a route which is almost the same with one slight change. the original one was 4.65 miles and the new one is 4.56 but even if i tick the box to add the new version of the route it keep telling me the distance travelled is 4.65m on the left hand box in the upload screen. now i dont mind it telling me ive gone faster overall than i have but it does distort the statistics slightly! and it isnt anything to do with the flat eq distance as that is 4.67m.
