Hi, I have read the Chi Running book by Danny Dreyer and went on a days course for it, as the prospect of running "more easily and without injury" was something I wanted. I have been using New Balance minimal running shoes for the past year and a half and generally it has been okay. I didn't go out and do lots of miles in the new shoes straight away, but built up the distances over time. Once I had comfortably got to 10km, I then stuck with the minimal shoes only and didn't go back to my old regular running Adidas Adizero shoes for any runs. I think I still need some hints and tips on my running style to remind me of some techniques, but I have managed to regularly run faster and easier running barefoot, even on trails. |

I would like to know how runners have made the switch to barefoot or natural running, or are considering. I've been using Vivobarefoot for approx 8 months for casual use and running. Nothing else comes close unless you know otherwise. My life is transformed having sustained a succession of injuries after running for 10 years in structured trainers. My running is now consistent, faster and injury free. |
