Thanks Louise, I have learnt something new as I just picked my total up from the bottom of the log book listing. I'll have a play with that function.

Hi

You may know this already - but the easiest way of finding how far you have run in a certain time period (assuming you have logged all your runs on GRG!) is to go to 'graphs and stats' under the training log menu and then select log book stats.  Click on the compare dates button on the left and you will be able to enter any time period you want and the total number of miles will be displayed, together with other interesting stats.

I've just checked my mileage so far this year - 724 miles so a little way to go before reaching your total Derek!

Congratulations Derek, a good achievement.  I must say I haven't considered counting up my yearly mileage, but might do so to see what it stands at.  Good luck with the marathon

I know that this has been mentioned on the runners world forum but as the forum contributors here I consider are more of a disconcerning and friendly nature I would just like to say I've passed my 1000 mile running mark for the year.

Beginning of the year I was running an average of 25 miles per week, I am now up to 40 miles with the intention of upping my game to 50 miles in the next couple of months in preparation for my first full marathon sometime mid next year.

My current long slow run is 14 miles and I want to get that up to 20 miles, keep my trackwork the same which is short (3 mile in total) but intensive for VOX, a slight increase on my tempo run from 5 miles to 7 miles and the rest of the days padded out with easy runs.

Might get to around 1500 miles by the end of the year.
