New for 2019, the Run the Wild Cornish Coastal Adventure. In this multi-day trail running adventure you will get to explore the beautiful coastal trails of the South West Coast Path of Cornwall and nearby footpaths. There will be breath-taking views of the sea, guided runs, hashing trails, entertainment, storytelling, local Cornish pub food, cosy accommodation and of course lots of fun! As with all Run the Wild trips all you have to do is turn up an run!
Discover the rugged coastline of Mounts Bay where wreckers would once tempt boats onto the rocks below and smugglers would steal the precious cargo. The remains of the once thriving tin mines dotted along the coast path. See the chapel where Ross married Demelza and the home of Dr Enys made famous in the TV series Poldark.
Accommodation will be at the National Trust owned Penrose Bunk House on the beautiful Cornish coast.
Your running adventure (choose either the 2 or 3 day option) will begin on the Friday Evening with a 10 km night run around the Loe Pool, where legend has it that King Arthur threw Excalibur into the cold, murky water!
Saturday morning we’ll head off along the coast path for about 20 kms to The Lizard, England’s most Southerly point. Here transport will be waiting to take you back to your accommodation. Saturday evening you’ll be taken the local town of Porthleven and the 18th Century Ship Inn where you will have an evening meal followed by some local entertainment.
