Race Guide
20 Barriers Race
Date / Time
Length
5.50 miles (8.9 km)
Description
The 20 Barriers follows a 5.5 mile scenic route on the field paths, trails and canal towpath in the countryside to the south of Carnforth ‘Gateway to the Lake District’. The race gets its name from the number of stiles and other field boundaries crossed en route but none of the ‘20 barriers’ should present any unusual hazards or difficulties.Trail or studded shoes advised. Following the closure of the Lundsfield track to the public in early 2017 the race now finds it's way back to Carnforth via Thwaite End Bridge number 127. Link to updated race map
Held under FRA rules and competitors must be 16 or over on day of race.
Part of the race income will go towards this year's Dallam Running Club chosen charity Morecambe Bay Search and Rescue Team.
