Incorporating the Essex 5K County Championships

This event will take place on Friday evening, starting at 5:30pm. This is an ideal venue to chase a fast time as the course is traffic-free, pancake flat and on smooth tarmac. The race will be run under a full UK Athletics License and each course has been officially measured and has a certificate of course accuracy. The race will also be chip timed and results published on Power of 10.

We will be kicking off the evening at 5:30pm with a 1mile race and 1mile Family Fun Run. If you have entered a race later in the evening you are welcome to join in the Fun Run to encourage family and friends.

At 6pm we'll be having an Open 5k and 10k race, followed by the Essex county championship races including the women's and men's elite races. An exact timetable will be advised in the final race information.

With an anticlockwise, traffic free, tarmac course with no sharp bends, and a finish line on the main straight, we are certain that it will be a great night of competitive racing and a whole bunch of proud new PB's!

The closed road circuit is perfect for all standards, no matter whether you are chasing a lightening quick time, a beginner or a junior (minimum age requirements detailed below).

There will be a cut off of 75 mins for the Open race, so please choose the distance appropriate for you to complete in that time.

The Elite 5k Womens and Mens race will make a grand finale for the evening, (sub-21 women and sub-17 men) which we hope everyone will stay for and enjoy cheering on the athletes.

Complimentary ELITE entries - any athletes who have achieved the following times (Men: sub-14:45 mins; Female: sub-17:15 mins) in the last two years (must be evidenced on Powerof10), please email events@activetrainingworld.co.uk for a FREE entry in the elite race.
