WHY WARRINGTON RUNNING FESTIVAL IS RETURNING IN 2024 WITH TRADITIONAL ENTRY FEES?
After the overwhelming success of the Warrington Running Festival in 2023 as the world’s first free to enter running festival, the event will return in 2024 in its traditional format. The RunThrough Foundation is to be able to deliver free events to communities all around the country, with the 2024 RunThrough Foundation event being held in London on 14th September, and it was because of the great success that Warrington Running Festival 2023 that proved that an event of this kind is possible.
The Warrington Running Festival in 2024 will continue to be a celebration of running and fitness and will only continue the legacy of the 2023 event which saw so many first time and experienced runners alike come together for the world first event.
The 2024 Warrington Running Festival will see the return of the 5k further enabling people of all abilities to take part in the a distance best fitting their ability and goals. Hometown of RunThrough co-founder Ben Green, the Warrington Running Festival has always been an extremely important event for RunThrough, hence the decision to hold the first ever RunThrough Foundation event here in 2023 and will continue to be one of our most important races in our busy calendar of events.
Join us for the return of the Warrington Running Festival. Run a Half Marathon, 10k or 5k in and around Warrington Town Centre. Starting and finishing at the Town Hall’s iconic Golden Gates, this new event has a road closed, flat and fast route that will provide the perfect opportunity to push yourself to a chip timed, personal best.

Half Marathon & 10k – 9am | 5k – 9:15am | Junior Race – 11:30am
