The annual Holymoorside 10k Road Race and Fun Run will take place on Sunday 12th May 2024 in the picturesque Derbyshire village of Holymoorside. The 10k race passes through scenic Derbyshire countryside, along quiet country lanes. Starting at the Village Hall, the course runs uphill for 4km and then winds across the moor before descending back into the village with a fast, downhill finish. The race is run mainly on the road with a lap of the village playing fields at the finish. The race starts at 10.30am and is open to runners aged 15 and over. The 10k race is run under UKA rules and is accurately measured. First Aid facilities, drinks station, and km markers are provided. There is limited parking. Please car share wherever possible. The route is fully marshalled. The Fun Run starts at the Village Hall at 10am and is a 2k route around the lovely village playing fields. Entry is open to all and everyone who takes part will receive a medal. The Holymoorside 10k and Fun Run are organised by 1st Holymoorside Scout Group as part of their fundraising activities. The Scout Group is a registered charity, number 1136758. Scouts will be on hand to provide assistance to runners and their friends and families.
