Join us for the Middlesbrough Half Marathon Presented by Science in Sport on Sunday 7th March 2027

In Support of the Great North Air Ambulance Service

Fast, flat, and packed with atmosphere, the Middlesbrough Half Marathon returns for its third year and continues to establish itself as one of the North East’s standout road races. Presented by Science in Sport and in support of the Great North Air Ambulance Service, this fully road-closed event brings big-race energy right into the heart of the town.

Starting in Centre Square, outside the Town Hall and MIMA gallery, the route heads through Albert Park before sweeping past the Riverside Stadium, home of Middlesbrough FC. Runners then loop around the historic docks before returning to Centre Square for a powerful city-centre finish in front of cheering crowds.

With its smooth, PB-friendly profile and vibrant atmosphere, this race suits first-timers looking for a memorable debut as well as experienced runners chasing a fast time.
