QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1. I can't open the Run Guides or Maps. You need to have Adobe Reader (or equivalent) on your computer to open the Run Guide. You can get the latest version of Adobe Reader for free by clicking this button.
2. I can't see the right hand side of the web page. The website has been designed for display on screens with a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. If you increase your screen resolution (through the Control Panel for Windows users) you should see the whole page. 3. I can get an error (code 114) when opening a Map. This error normally occurs if you are using Adobe Reader version 6 or less. You can upgrade to the latest verion for free by selecting "Updates" from the Help menu in Adobe Reader.
4. What is the minimum recommended PC spec to use the service? Please click here for details.
5. When I try to view the Fly Through I get a message telling me that I do not have the required Plug-In. You will need Windows Media Player on your computer to view the Fly Through. This can be downloaded free of charge from Microsoft by clicking here.
Older versions of Internet Explorer may cause this problem. What you are seeing is the contents of the GPS file. When you see this you can save it as myGPSfile.GPX to you computer. Alternatively, if you upgrade to Internet Explorer version 6, the next time you try to download a GPS file you should be presented with a File Download dialog box, which prompts you to Save the file (skipping the stage where the contents of the file are displayed).
7. I have a Mac and can't see the Fly-Throughs. Our Fly-Throughs videos use the Window Media Video format. If you do not have plug-in for this on your Mac you can download one for free by clicking here.
8. The Route dissapears from some of the Route Maps when I print them. We have experienced this problem with Internet Explorer 6 but there does not seem to be any problem with Internet Explorer 7, which has much better support for printing. We have also found that reducing the page margins in print preview mode helps. To upgrade your version of Internet Explorer click here.
9. The satellite maps don't display - imagery not available error message. Try deleting your browsers cache as this normally resolves the problem (Tools, Internet Options, Deleting Browsing History/Delete Files, Temporary Internet Files in Internet Explorer and Tools, Clear Private Data, tick Cache in Firefox). This could also be due to Google blocking access to its maps from your computer. This sometimes happens if Google thinks your computer may be acting maliciously. Click here for advice about detecting and resolving this problem.
10. I have installed the Garmin Communicator plugin but it won't recognise my Garmin. It is sometimes necessary to close your browser or reboot your PC for the plugin to be fully recognised.
11. I want to use metric units but I have to keep reselecting this everytime I login - my choice isn't being saved. Your choice of metric or imperial units is saved in a "cookie" on your computer so it is possible that you may have cookies disabled in your browser. This link explains how to enable cookies in different browsers.
