Minehead North Hill Challenge - 9.43 miles

This challenging run starts at Minehead harbour and climbs the imposing North Hill, which rises 900feet above the town and sea. Initially quite steep and then proceeds to a more gentle climb to Selworthy Beacon, where there are splendid views of Exmoor countryside.

Ebbor Gorge - 4.75 miles

A varying run through the Mendip countryside from Wookey Hole taking in the views from Ebbor Gorge, a dry limestone gorge. There is a tough ascent up to the gorge through woods along the West Mendip Way but the view at the top is well worth the effort.

Golden Cap  - 4.88 miles

This is a spectacular but tough run which follows the South West coast path up to the top of Dorset's Golden Cap. There are marvellous views from the top which makes up for the punishing climb and a pleasant return route along footpaths and quiet country lanes.

Grimspound Explorer - 8.39 miles

A stunning route in Dartmoor, following fairly well defined paths on the way out (for Dartmoor) and a very quiet lane on the way back. The route passes Grimspound, the remains of a circular bronze age settlement.

Alcock Tarn - 3.17 miles

A short but quite strenuous run up to Alcock Tarn with views over Grasmere, and even Lake Windermere in the distance, which passes Wordsworth's Dove Cottage.

Pen Y Ghent - 5.92 miles

A classic route to the top of one of Yorkshire's famous three peaks. Good running most of the way aside from a short scramble up to the summit and tremendous views over the dales and peaks are the reward for the undeniably stiff climb.

Simonside Summit - 5.00 miles

A not too testing run up to Simonside Summit to admire the views. Starting along a lane, then onto generally good tracks with a only few slightly testing rocky sections.

Blackcap Hill Climb - 7.76 miles

A hilly river and downland run from Lewes. After a flat start through Lewis High Street and along the pretty River Ouse, there comes a long lung busting, but not too steep, climb up to Blackcap Trig Point.

Butser Hill - 6.06 miles

As the name implies this route has a fair amount of climbing. What you might not expect however is the severity of the climb up Butser Hill itself at the beginning of the run. However, thereafter pleasant country lanes and farmland tracks are the order of the day.

Crook Peak - 4.76 miles

A stunning run along the coast North of Craster Village featuring supurb views of the picturesque ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle.
