The Long Snake Run (9.42 miles - Trail)

Great Views

This route takes a scenic and challenging route on the South Downs near Brighton. The route is mostly on well drained trails with a short section of very quiet tarmac lane. At infrequent intervals there are gates to negotiate. The final climb up the 'Snake' is either wonderfully challenging or just challenging depending on your point of view.

This run takes in part of the route of the 'Jog Shop Jog 20' which takes place in October, with local names for features being 'The Snake' a 1.75 miles twisty climb and the naming of 'Death valley'.
